Spring Break

This isn't a very ferocious looking wind, but it's as close as I could find! We also had a bit of the white stuff last Thursday night.

Some spring break, huh! It's over so I'm kinda sad to be headed back to school tomorrow. But it was a nice break! Dallas, Mitch, and I went to Tucson Monday to visit with Mom and Grandma. Kathi's crew was there as well so it was a fun visit. Then Friday, Duane and I went to Mesa for his doctor's appointment. We did a little shopping at Costco and had a delicious steak dinner at Outback.

There are only 8 weeks left of school and 10 weeks til we're married! Fun times ahead! I was able to shop a bit for reception supplies at Sam's and a party shop. I think I'm done except for food and ordering flowers.

Hope everyone's doing spiffy! Catch up later.

Changes, Applesauce, and 3 Points!

March 1st is here! March always brings lots of adventures and this month is no exception. In my extended family, there are 6 birthdays which will turn into 7 birthdays in a couple of weeks when my new niece is welcomed into this world! Hang in there Jessica!

Spring break will be here the last week of March - in 20 days to be exact - not that I'm counting.........
It was a busy day yesterday. After Dallas' basketball game, in which he made a 3-pointer yet they lost by two points in overtime, Duane and I went over to the church for our ward's canning day. We had picked up dry milk and apple slices (not mixed, of course) and took them over to can. Our ward does this about every other month - makes it really nice and convenient. When we finished, we headed to WalMart for groceries. I try to stay away from that place whenever possible on Saturday afternoons, but there we were, Saturday afternoon at Wally World. Sigh! Anyway, we got our basket full and decided to get another basket to separate our stuff into his and mine - it will be so nice when we're married and it'll all go into one 'pot'! When he reached down for his individual containers of applesauce, one broke and he ended up with applesauce all over his hands, all over the shirts he was buying, and on some of the other groceries - ooohhh! While he went to clean up and I stayed to 'guard' our stuff over in produce, a container of pear tomatoes got away from me and spilled so I went chasing tomatoes all around the place on the floor.......when Duane got back, he said he was sorry he missed it! We were sure glad to check out and get out of there!

This seems to be the month for changes in the air - both in school AND church. For example, the latest school scuttlebutt is that the junior high and the intermediate school (where I work) will be switching places, leaving the 6th graders to be joined by 7th and 8th for Junior high. Then they've also proposed creating 2 K-5 schools out of the current primary and intermediate schools. At this point, it's all heresay, but regardless of their decisions, I'll probably be moving AGAIN! I should open my own moving company - I've certainly had enough experience.

The other change will happen in our stake - they are building a new chapel out in the Linden area and want to meet today at 3:30 with stake members to discuss boundary changes, etc. Guess I'll go see what that's all about!

I'll keep ya'll posted! Have a great week!
